Facade Restoration in Palamós

Need your facade repaired in Palamós? At Vitraris we clean up and repair cracks and flaking, renew render and paint and restore stonework and balconies, with more than 30 years in the trade on the Costa Brava.

A facade in poor condition is not just about appearance: water gets in through cracks and flaking render, steel reinforcement rusts and the damage works its way inside. At Vitraris we restore facades in the Baix Empordà starting with what matters: we check the substrate, clean up and repair the damage, and then renew render and paint with materials made for the outdoors. We also restore the features that give a house its character, such as stonework, mouldings, cornices and balconies.

Near the sea wear and tear is faster, which is why we choose mortars and paints that stand up to sun, damp and salt air. We work across the Baix Empordà and the Costa Brava with more than 30 years in the trade, and we give you a fixed, no-obligation quote after seeing the facade.

What does your facade restoration include?

Inspection and preparation

We check the state of the facade, set up the access equipment needed, remove anything loose and clean up the damaged areas.

Cracks and fissures

We repair cracks, fissures and flaking render before water gets in and the damage gets worse.

Damp and leaks

We find where the water is getting in and stop it before redoing the finish, so the stain does not come back.

Facade painting

Breathable exterior paints that stand up to sun and salt air.

Stone, mouldings and balconies

Frequently asked questions

Do I need council permission to repair the facade?

Usually yes: a prior notice or a minor works licence, especially if scaffolding goes on the street. We tell you which procedure applies in your town.

How much does it cost to restore a facade?

It depends on the area, its condition, the finish and whether scaffolding is needed. After seeing it we give you a fixed quote showing what each item includes.

How long does it take?

It depends on the area, the state of the facade and the weather, because render and paint cannot be applied in the rain. We give you the timescale in writing with the quote.

Why do cracks and damp appear on a facade?

Through age, small movements of the building or water getting in at a badly sealed point. Near the sea, salt air speeds it up. The sooner it is repaired, the cheaper it is.

Do you work on old stone facades and village houses?

Yes. Before touching anything we check what the facade is made of and use mortars compatible with it, so the repair does not damage the stone or the original structure.
